A last minute cancellation for the festival job resulted in a short trip to the Isle of Wight. It was a sanity saver and a great opportunity to return to the island for the first time in 8 years. We discover these amazing oversized deckchairs right next to the centre I stayed in at secondary school. They were so comfy like a hammock and would be a great place to sleep with an amazing sea view. The weather was incredible the entire week, we got a bit deluded and thought we were in the south of France! We roamed all over the place, venturing to Cowes, the Needles, Bembridge Whitecliffe Bay, Ryde and Seaview.
We got a bit delirious after a drawn out game of stone throwing at the Needles, but I have discovered I have far better hand eye coordination than I ever realised.
We took a walk down the Military Road on the south side that looks out to sea and the views were out of this world. A fabulous little island holiday at home.
